Still have a little bit to hash out, but I should be complete with these final outline details before the end of next week. I ran into a few setbacks (including my now toddler son getting a stomach virus and passing it to both my wife and I). Luckily, everything is clear and we are all doing great!

I am reluctant to post the current blurb. I would hate to have a glaring error out there or worse­ (a really, lame nugget that sounded great the first dozen times). So, I’ll be pushing that back for another time when I can get some fine-tuning work completed. All I can really say about it now is that my wife has asked me on more than one occasion in the past if I would name a “really, awesome, bad-ass character” after her. Well, I sort of took that approach, but only just for inspiration. I derived the master character’s name using one of the proposed meanings to my wife’s name. She claims that her name means ‘fairy queen’, which it does appear so during some research. Right now, the story centers Faith (nickname Faye) and her struggle to trust in herself while maintaining her grip on reality.

Yes, it is still going to be a fantasy book.

And of course, as my mind is always wandering off into a million unrelated topics, I have been toying with the idea of a picture book series. Partly due to the fact that I have a toddler, and he loves ‘reading’ his books (opens one and talks one year-old talk) while either my wife or I reads a different book to him.

In non-book writing related news, I have gone back to playing in a Pathfinder PBP (Play-by-Post) game. I had been running a slow-paced game for about a year now, but had not had the chance to get in a little action myself. I will let you know how quickly I manage to get myself killed as I am taking over for another player. I’ll be playing an elf barbarian with a rather odd choice of feats and rage powers (nothing I would normally select except for power attack).
